What is a MEPCO duplicate bill?

A duplicate bill is the same statement MEPCO issues for your connection for the current (or available) billing cycle — payable amount, due date, units, taxes, and barcode — delivered digitally so you can pay when the paper copy is late, lost, or damaged. Banks, EasyPaisa agents, and JazzCash apps still need the reference number printed or shown on that official copy.

This website does not generate duplicate bills. We only help you reach the portal that does.

How to check MEPCO bill online (step by step)

  1. 1

    Find the 14-digit reference number

On a previous paper bill it usually sits near the top — a continuous 14-digit code, sometimes spaced as 12 34567 8901234. It is not your CNIC, mobile number, or Customer ID.

  2. 2

Enter it in the box above

Type all 14 digits; spaces are added for readability. This field accepts a reference number only.

  3. 3

    Continue to the PITC portal

We open the official bill page with your reference. Allow pop-ups. If the bill is not generated yet for your subdivision batch, wait a few days — that delay is on the billing system, not on this site.

  4. 4

Print or save as PDF on that page

Use the browser print dialog (Ctrl + P). Print the full page so the barcode scans. Only the PITC-issued copy is accepted for counter payment.

Where to find the reference number or Customer ID

Both identifiers are printed near the upper account details on many MEPCO bills, although layouts can change. The reference number has 14 digits and may appear in spaced groups. Customer ID is a separate field; do not paste it into our reference-number box. If you only have Customer ID, use theofficial PITC MEPCO lookup with Customer ID selected. Neither route supports a CNIC or mobile-number lookup.

MEPCO bill via SMS (8334)

Without a smartphone browser you can still receive amount and due-date alerts through the standard PITC SMS pattern used across DISCOs: send pitcthen a space then your 14-digit reference number to 8334. That channel is separate from this website. Never reply to random SMS asking you to send money to a personal JazzCash or EasyPaisa number.

Understanding charges on your electricity bill

The payable total is rarely “units × one rate.” Typical line items include energy charges by slab,FPA (fuel price adjustment), QTA (quarterly tariff adjustment), fixed charges, GST, electricity duty, PTV fee, and any arrears or deferred amounts. Use our bill calculatorfor a planning estimate, then trust the official bill for payment.

Pay the bill and verify the payment

Payment options

  • Online: choose MEPCO in a bank app, EasyPaisa or JazzCash; enter the reference and compare the fetched amount with the PITC bill before confirming.
  • In person: take the PITC-printed bill and readable barcode to an authorized bank branch or payment agent.
  • Use the due date shown on the current bill, not a date remembered from an earlier month.

How to confirm it

Keep the transaction receipt or app confirmation. Re-open the official bill later to check whether paid status has posted; payment channels can take time to update.

If the amount was deducted but status remains unpaid, do not pay twice without checking. Contact the payment provider first with the transaction ID, then use the MEPCO complaint and helpline guide if the issue is not resolved.

If the MEPCO bill does not open

“Invalid” or no record

Recheck every digit against an earlier MEPCO bill. Make sure you did not enter Customer ID in the reference field or use an identifier for another electricity company.

Old bill or new cycle unavailable

PITC may still show the latest available cycle while a new bill is being prepared. Try again later and rely on the billing month and due date printed on the opened bill.

Blank page, blocked handoff or portal error

Allow the navigation, retry without an in-app browser, or open the official MEPCO PITC bill page directly. A PITC outage cannot be repaired from this site.

Frequently asked questions

When is the MEPCO bill due date?

Due dates vary by subdivision and reading batch — often mid-to-late month. Always use the date printed on the official PITC/MEPCO bill.

Can I check my MEPCO bill by reference number?

Yes. Enter the 14-digit reference here; we forward it to the official PITC portal where the current bill is displayed and printed.

How do I download my MEPCO bill as PDF?

This site does not host bill PDFs. After PITC opens, use your browser’s Print → Save as PDF. The file comes from the official portal.

Does this work for Multan and other districts?

Yes. Any MEPCO connection with a valid 14-digit reference can use the same hand-off — Multan, Bahawalpur, RYK, DG Khan, and the rest of the service area.

Is MEPCODBill the official MEPCO website?

No. We are an independent project. Official bills: bill.pitc.com.pk. Complaints: MEPCO helpline 0800-63726 or WAPDA 118 — not this contact form.

How can I lodge a MEPCO complaint?

Use official channels only — toll-free 0800-63726, district offices, or CCMS. See our complaint guide.
